To make a long story short......John and I dated my Senior year of high school. He graduated from Murray State University and moved to Lexington, Ky. to work for Toyota. I married, finished my degree in education, had two children then divorced and moved to Murrieta Ca. ( I have a sister who lives there with her family) I taught middle school science in Graves Co. for 6 years and then taught at Warm Springs Middle School in Murrieta Ca. for 5 years. John came to see me in July of 2005, we knew instantly that we wanted to be together and got married in Nov. 2005. We lived in San Antonio for one year, then Lexington where we now reside with my son (Cha'Sed) and daughter (Jincey). I started working with a pottery wheel while in Texas and loved it. After finding out that I would have to go back to school and start my masters degree all over again I decided not to return to teaching.... I wanted to open a shop where I could have a studio in the back and a shop in the front. So, Kolors was opened in October 2008. I hope to start working in clay soon (recovering from back surgery) and have my pottery in the shop.
When deciding what to carry in the shop, I went in a hundred directions. After being open for three months I have learned a lot and plan to narrow the inventory to mostly handmade items. With a few factory gifts. Well that is " All about Us" the short version. |

Nishi, The head of the house He goes to the shop with me on days I can take him. He does NOT like to be left at home all day by himself.....he needs his servant at all times.
